Exchanging wedding rings - what to say in your ceremony

Updated: Jun 4, 2022

The exchanging of rings is a small part of your ceremony but it can be filled with a lot of meaning.

Your celebrant might say a statement while you each place the ring on:

"As a symbol of your passionate and generous love for (name), please place the ring on (name)’s finger. Each time you look at this ring, I encourage you to remember this day and the vows that you have made to each other."

Or you might say a statement to one another:

"I give you this ring to wear each day as a reminder of my love for you."
